PRAHALAD TALUR · SAMMAMISH, WA

Hi, I'm Prahalad.
I like building stuff.

I'm a high school student who's into drones, aerospace, and hardware. Lately I've been spending a lot of time learning how things work once they're off the screen and on a workbench.

01 / PROJECTS

Here's some stuff
I've been working on.

Mostly hardware and code. Nothing is ever really finished, but these are the projects I'm proud of so far.

MACHINE LEARNING

Trying to predict when engines fail

I used NASA's turbofan data to see if a model could estimate how much life an engine had left. I wrote the code to load the data, train models, and check whether the results were actually any good.

EXPERIMENTS / MODELS

Testing a bunch of models

I ran 22 neural-network models through the same tests. I wanted to know which differences mattered and which ones just looked impressive on paper.

02 / A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I learn best by
trying things myself.

01

I like the messy part

The first version is usually wrong. Figuring out why is the part I enjoy.

02

I'd rather test it

When I'm not sure about something, I try to build a small test instead of arguing with myself about it.

03

I'm still figuring it out

I don't have everything mapped out yet. That's why I keep starting projects.

03 / RIGHT NOW

Currently in high school,
thinking about what's next.

I'm a rising senior at Eastlake High School. I'm applying to college for fall 2027 and hoping to study mechanical engineering or aerospace—somewhere I can keep making things and learning from people who know more than I do.
